Poor massage and attitude - I don't think I'll be back
I was passing Baan Thai and thought I'd call in on the off chance that they weren't too busy.
One girl was working, another was outside smoking - and the one who would give me the massage was prodding her face with cotton buds at a mirror in reception cleaning what out I don't want to think. I decided that a half hour appointment was best in this case, as I was having slight second thoughts already...but how bad can it be?
Anyway, I was shown downstairs by the much more attractive reception lady (who doesn't do massages) and shown to a cellar room that smelled slightly of cellar... that damp foisty smell you get. I stripped and laid down waiting...and I waited...and waited. At last, the lady - who it turns out is called "Sky" - decided to grace me with her presence. I guess that picking out earwax was more important first.
She started a slightly rough massage and after less than a minute, she asked if I just wanted a massage or extras. Oh great! I hate it when they do that and at my age - the wrong side of 40 - I need stimulating to be in the mood, but she just wasn't doing anything for me. I asked what she did, but I guess that she didn't understand and said: "it doesn't matter". Then she started a rough and not great massage - it was a bit painful at times, but not in a good way. I've had proper massages and this fell way short - slapping your back with karate chops impresses nobody.
At one point, after I had turned over (she made sure that towel was protecting anywhere from accidental brushes), her feet were on my legs for some sort of push/stretch and I noticed how cold they were. Trying to still break the ice, I held them and said "Hey you're cold there". She glared and said: "£5 to touch my feet".
You what!? Now the mood really was killed. Granted, I don't go around massaging people's feet in massage shops, but I've occasionally done this if they were near - and Thai girls especially seem to like their feet touched. I'm not some guy who has a thing about feet and it was blatantly obvious it wasn't turning me on as my bits were pretty shrunk and loosely covered. "Sod that", I said and just laid back again.
That's another thing - she kept telling me off if I moved or looked at her - told me to "put your arms up and keep them there" and "don't move your head, you must keep still".
Anyway, thankfully time was up and I did manage to get a shower out of the place. I saw the other girl to wave to on the way out and she seemed way more friendly. I don't think I'll be back to be honest.
