This was my first visit to Rainbow Spa. I was at a loose end and Wakefield is closer than Bradford where I usually go, so thought I would give it a try. There is a big sign outside, but the entrance is down a little alley way. I knocked on the door - around 45 seconds later I was let in. It didn't bother me, but while I was waiting for the door to be opened, a group of people walked passed and stared at me waiting at the door - even though it's down an alley way it does leave you a little exposed if you're waiting at the door for a while.
Anyway, into the shop I made the mistake of trying to go straight up stairs. The lady said: "you haven't been here before" and invited me to take my shoes off - if you decide to go - take your shoes off before you go upstairs. I asked for an hour and paid £45.
Upstairs is a little strange. There was a room with a small kitchen and a few rooms - can't remember how many, maybe four or five. I could hear a TV playing and there was a strong smell of Oriental food. Into the room I went. The first thing I noticed was it was very small. It was nice and warm - perhaps too warm with a long mirror at the side of the bed.
I was invited to get ready and lay on the bed while the lady went out of the room. I undressed and laid down on the bed. The bed was covered in a white paper towel and was comfortable enough. There was a face hole. I remember thinking it seemed a little unhygienic. The bed was covered, but inside the face hole was not and had a strange smell.

It really was an unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons. I will not be returning. Driving home I could smell her on me. For the next few days afterwards I kept randomly smelling her - thinking back now it's quite funny, but made me shudder at the time.
